VEGETABLE HARVEST FESTIVAL

The National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit 101 of Malabar Training College successfully conducted a vegetable harvesting program from the college’s vegetable garden on October 28, 2024. This initiative promoted community service, teamwork and sustainable living practices. Background: The vegetable garden, established under the supervision of Narayanan, is strategically located within the college campus. This garden exemplifies the college’s commitment to sustainability, providing students with hands-on experience in organic farming. Inauguration: Principal Dr. Indu K.   On November 26, 2024, the Social Science Department and IQAC organized an Constitution Day program in a modest format,  to commemorate the adoption of the Indian Constitution. The event was conducted in a simple and meaningful format to foster awareness and understanding of the Indian Constitution among students. The event was conducted in the general hall starting at 2.30 pm.      The program commenced with a brief introduction by Jameelathil Misla.  The quiz was designed to test participants' knowledge of the Indian Constitution, its history, fundamental rights, directive principles, and other significant aspects. A total 5  teams, each comprising two members, participated in the competition, representing various departments of the college. The quiz was conducted in multiple rounds. This initiative was aimed at encouraging analytical thinking and problem-solving among students. The event was a grand success, with participants displaying remarkable problem-solving skills. It not only strengthened their analytical abilities but also provided a platform for students to collaborate and build camaraderie across departments. The Sudoku Solving Game began with a warm welcome by Aparna K of Mathematics Department, followed by an introduction to the rules and objectives.                      CAPTION WRITING COMPETITION On October 4, 2024, Department of Natural science observed World Animal Welfare Day with a Caption Writing Competition, aiming to raise awareness about animal welfare and promote compassion among students. Competition Details: The competition was open to all students, and participants were required to submit their captions by 4 pm on the same day. An overwhelming response saw 25 entries, from which three winners were selected.The captions were expertly judged by Ms.Preetha and Ms.Ruby . MAHATMA GANDHI JAYANTI

As part of the Gandhi Jayanti celebrations on October 2nd, the  Social Science Club and IQAC organized a documentary-making  competition aimed at honouring Mahatma Gandhi on his birthday.  The objective was not only to pay tribute to Gandhiji but also to  uncover and share lesser-known facts about his life. The theme  for the documentary was "The Life and Times of Gandhiji," and  each department was tasked with creating a 5-7 minute video. The  event was gracefully hosted by Ms. Ameena Raoof, with Ms.  Ruby Joseph and Ms. Rashida serving as the judges.  The Malayalam Department won first prize for the best  documentary, while the Natural Science Department took home  the second prize. Prizes were distributed later at the Social  Science Department by Ms. Preetha Kuriakose. Despite some  minor technical issues, the competition was a great success,  leaving a lasting impact on all participants and attendees

 The National Service Scheme (NSS) unit 101 of Malabar training college, Peravoor organized a cleaning drive and student park inauguration on the auspicious occasion of Gandhi Jayanti. The program aimed to commemorate Mahatma Gandhi's vision of a clean and sustainable India. The program was inaugurated by esteemed Malabar College Principal, Indu K. Mathew. M.P.U.P School Principal, Sajitha U.V., delivered the presidential address, emphasizing the significance of cleanliness and community service.Under the guidance of NSS Program Officer, Ms. Preetha Kuriakose and Student Coordinator, Hisana, the volunteers embarked on a thorough cleaning drive from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm. The school premises, including courtyard , and surrounding areas, were meticulously cleaned.   International Day of the Older Persons is observed on 1 October every year to raise problems faced by elder persons and to promote the development of a society for all ages. Students of Malabar Training College took pledge to provide physical and mental support for the needed ones in their home and locality. As part of the programme, students visited the nearby houses to honour the old age persons.
