In celebration of World Students' Day, the Mathematics Department of
Malabar Training College, Peravoor, hosted an engaging and intellectual
event, the Sudoku Solving Game, on October 15. This initiative was aimed
at encouraging analytical thinking and problem-solving among students.
The event was a grand success, with participants displaying remarkable
problem-solving skills. It not only strengthened their analytical abilities but
also provided a platform for students to collaborate and build camaraderie
across departments.
The Sudoku Solving Game began with a warm welcome by Aparna K of
Mathematics Department, followed by an introduction to the rules and
objectives. Each department was represented by two participants, ensuring
inclusivity. The competition featured three rounds: easy puzzles for initial
screening, intermediate puzzles for selecting top contenders, and
challenging puzzles for the final showdown. A panel of faculty members
judged the participants based on their performance. Pournami and Anusree
of physical science department secured the first position and Yadupriya and
Aparna of English department secured the second. The event concluded
with a vote of thanks by Jismi Chacko of Mathematics department,
appreciating the enthusiastic participation of students and the support from
faculty members.
