Healing HANDS
The Department of Natural Science successfully conducted the "Healing Hands" palm printing program to commemorate World Mental Health Day on October 10. This initiative aimed to promote mental health awareness, reduce stigma, and foster a sense of community among students, teachers, and staff.
Welcome Address
Sharfa delivered a heartfelt welcome speech, emphasizing the significance of mental health and the importance of supporting one another. She set the tone for the event, encouraging participants to embrace the theme "You Are Not Alone."
Inaugural Palm Print:
Principal Indu K. Mathew had the honor of creating the first palm print, symbolizing the institution's commitment to mental wellness. This was followed by enthusiastic participation from teachers and students.
Speech by Ms.Preetha:
Ms.Preetha delivered an inspiring speech, highlighting the need for empathy, understanding, and inclusivity in addressing mental health issues. Her words resonated
deeply with the audience, encouraging them to prioritize self-care and seek help when needed.
Program Highlights:
• Over 80 participants, including students, teachers, and staff, took part in the palm printing activity.
• The palm prints created during the event will be displayed in the college premises, serving as a reminder of the importance of mental health support.
