MUSIC DAY CELEBRATION


 

On October 1st, the Music Club of Malabar Training College, Peravoor, celebrated International Music Day. The event was impressive and filled with excitement, showing everyone’s strong passion for music. The celebration aimed to emphasize the importance of music in life and to have some joyous time with music. The theme for International Music Day 2024 was "Harmony Across Cultures." This year's theme emphasizes music's role in connecting different cultures and creating a more harmonious world. Through music, we can appreciate diversity and strengthen ties that bring humanity closer together. The event began with an official inauguration by The Principal, Indhu K Mathew, held at the general hall at 2.00 PM. The program was attended by all other faculty members and students. Arjunan, Student, Department of Natural Science and Student coordinator of Music Club, had done the welcome speech. Preetha Kuriakose, Faculty Coordinator of Music Club, addressed the gathering, highlighting the importance of music in our daily lives and its potential of music therapy. The program was hosted by Ann Sneha Joy, Student, Department of Physical Science and Student Coordinator of Music Club.

      The cultural program commenced soon after the inauguration, with performances prepared and presented by the members of the Music Club and other students. Students actively participated in the celebration by their Solo music performances and all of them were mind blowing. All the listeners were encouraging the performers and all were seen happy and relaxed during the whole event. A solo performance by Akhila Miss, Department of Malayalam, added a special touch to the event. The program wound up at 3.00 PM by a vote of thanks by the student coordinator. Thus, the celebration of International Music Day at Malabar Training College was a resounding success, bringing together students, teachers and the community in a joyful tribute to the power of music.
