  The talents day for the 2024-25 batch at Malabar training college unfolded on August 29 &30, gracefully transforming the college auditorium into a vibrant showcase of creativity and excellence, where students diverse talents and innovative abilities were celebrated and illuminated through a series of impressive performances and exhibitions.  The program commenced with a profoundly moving prayer delivered by Ann Sneha, which set a reflective and inspiring tone for the event. Following this, Krishnapriya K.T, Assistant Professor of English at Malabar Training College, extended a warm and gracious welcome through her eloquent speech, offering heartfelt greetings to all attendees. On August 21, 2024, Wednesday, the Malayalam Department of Malabar Training Collegeorganized Polika 2024 as part of the Agricultural Day celebrations. The program started at 2 pmand lasted till 4 pm. The ceremony began with prayer, followed by a welcome speech byBalasubrahmanyam p, student of the Malayalam Department. Prijin Parayi presided over thefunction. College Manager Sri Vatsan Madathil lit the lamp to inaugurate the ceremony. Principal Smt Indu.k. Mathew was the chief guest. Sri Vatsan Madathil honored Narayanettan, farmer and the college's agricultural guide, with a 'ponnada. Office Superintendent Sri Mohanan AC and Malayalam Option Teacher Smt Akhila Anthony extended their er greetings. INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION

  On August 15, 2024, the Social Science Department and IQAC organized an Independence Day program in a minimal format, following the Government of Kerala's directive to stand in solidarity with those affected by the Wayanad disaster. The event started with a flag hoisting ceremony at 9 AM on the college grounds.  Following the flag hoisting, Principal Smt. Indu K. Mathew addressed the students with an inspiring Independence Day message. The welcome speech was delivered by Divya P., a student from the Social Science Department. Smt. Vijisha P. P. (Asst. Professor) then gave the presidential address. "Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan" - Pledge Taking Ceremony

                                     On the 12th of August 2024, Malabar Training College, Peravoor, hosted a significant event as part of the "Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan" initiative, aimed at promoting a drug- free society. The event was organized by the Anti-Drug Cell in collaboration with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of the college. The ceremony commenced at 11:00 AM in the General Hall, with students and faculty members gathered to participate in the pledge-taking ceremony.   International Yoga Day Celebration and Health Club Inauguratio The International Yoga Day celebration and inauguration of the new Health Club took place at Malabar Training College's Multi-Purpose Hall, promoting health and well-being through engaging activities. The event began with a warm welcome from Ms. Libina, Assistant Professor in Physical Education, who emphasized the significance of yoga. Principal Indu K Mathew highlighted the importance of integrating yoga into daily life and the Health Club's role in fostering wellness. The day was organized to foster a love for reading and intellectual development among students and faculty. The event featured a series of lectures, reading sessions, and discussions aimed at enhancing the literary knowledge and critical thinking skills of the participants. The celebration aimed to promote reading habits and academic discussions, and was an opportunity for students to engage with literature, both classic and contemporary. It also provided a platform for staff and students to share their experiences and reflections on the importance of reading in personal and professional development.

NET/SET ORIENTATION

  Malabar Training College successfully conducted an online orientation program on NET (National Eligibility Test)/SET (State Eligibility Test) from 8th June 2024 to 12th June 2024 via Google Meet. The objective of the program was to guide and prepare postgraduate students and aspiring candidates for the upcoming NET/SET exams. The sessions focused on providing insights into the exam structure, preparation strategies, and subject-specific tips, with the ultimate aim of helping participants succeed in these highly competitive exams. The orientation program was conducted over five days, with each day dedicated to different aspects of the exams and preparation techniques. Experts and experienced educators facilitated the sessions, offering valuable advice and resources to the participants.

PEACE COURSE CERTIFICATE DISTRIBUTION

Malabar Training College held a special ceremony on 21st May 2024 for the distribution of certificates to students who successfully completed the Peace Course organized by the college. The Peace Course, conducted over a period of three months, aimed to instill the values of peace, conflict resolution, and community harmony among participants. The program emphasized global peace-building efforts, with an emphasis on local action and interpersonal relationships.

ORU THULLI ORU JEEVAN

  On January 31, 2024, Malabar Training College initiated the “Oru Thulli Oru Jeevan” Green Campus Initiative aimed at promoting environmental sustainability, raising awareness about climate change, and fostering a sense of responsibility towards nature among students and faculty. The event was organized to encourage active participation in green practices and to help develop a sustainable campus environment. The initiative aligned with the college’s commitment to eco-friendly practices and its efforts to make a tangible contribution to environmental conservation. The name of the initiative, "Oru Thulli Oru Jeevan", translates to “A Drop is Life”, symbolizing how even small efforts, like planting a tree or conserving resources, can collectively make a significant impact on the planet's well-being.

REPUBLIC DAY CELEBARTIONS

The celebration was filled with patriotic fervor, reflecting the spirit of unity, diversity, and democracy that Republic Day represents. The event was organized to honor the constitutional framework of India and to promote awareness about the importance of national integrity and citizenship responsibilities. Faculty, students, and staff participated with great enthusiasm in various activities that commemorated the importance of the day.

NSS PRE-CAMP ORIENTATION

  On December 19, 2023, Malabar Training College organized a Pre-Camp Orientation for the National Service Scheme (NSS) volunteers as part of their preparation for the upcoming NSS camp. The session aimed to provide volunteers with the necessary knowledge, skills, and orientation required for active participation in the NSS camp. The orientation program focused on the objectives of NSS, the importance of community service, and the tasks and responsibilities volunteers will undertake during the camp. The event also emphasized the core values of volunteerism, social responsibility, and community development.

  On November 30, 2023, Malabar Training College inaugurated the IKIGAI Union, a new student organization aimed at promoting personal growth, well-being, and holistic development among students. The name "IKIGAI," which comes from Japanese culture, represents a concept of finding one’s purpose in life, combining passion, mission, profession, and vocation. The inauguration ceremony marked the beginning of an exciting journey towards fostering a sense of community, encouraging personal exploration, and enhancing students' academic, emotional, and social skills.
