INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION

 


On August 15, 2024, the Social Science Department and IQAC organized an Independence Day program in a minimal format, following the Government of Kerala's directive to stand in solidarity with those affected by the Wayanad disaster. The event started with a flag hoisting ceremony at 9 AM on the college grounds. 

Following the flag hoisting, Principal Smt. Indu K. Mathew addressed the students with an inspiring Independence Day message. The welcome speech was delivered by Divya P., a student from the Social Science Department. Smt. Vijisha P. P. (Asst. Professor) then gave the presidential address. This was followed by a felicitation speech by Ms. Bhavya K (Assistant professor) who commended the efforts of all those involved in organizing the program. Independence Day speech was delivered by Alfin Reji. The formal program concluded with a vote of thanks by Archana Chandran.

After the formal session, a theme dance was performed by social science department and then the event featured patriotic song and dance competitions, with participation from various departments. Each department performed admirably, showcasing their talent and patriotic spirit. The patriotic song prize was won by English and Natural Science, and the patriotic dance prize was won by Natural Science, English, and Maths. The event concluded with the announcement of the competition results, marking the successful completion of the program.

On November 17, 2021, Malabar Training College hosted a seminar on "Teacher Leadership and Professional Development," conducted by Dr. Joselet Mathew. The seminar focused on empowering educators with leadership skills and strategies for ongoing professional growth. It covered effective leadership practices, career development, and methods for fostering a culture of continuous improvement in education. Through interactive discussions and practical insights, participants were equipped to enhance their leadership capabilities and contribute more effectively to their educational environments.
