ICT ORIENTATION


 Malabar Training College, in collaboration with Vidhyaragam Kalasahitya Vedhi, organized  an ICT orientation class on January 18, 2025, at the Good Earth Chess Café Thundiyil for lower primary and upper primary teachers. The session aimed to provide participants with knowledge and skills related to Information and Communication Technology (ICT), focusing on its application in education and other fields. The event likely involved discussions, demonstrations, and training on various ICT tools and techniques to enhance participants' understanding and use of technology.

The program began with an interactive activity where teachers from Lower Primary, Upper Primary schools and teacher trainees were divided into five groups. Each group was tasked with selecting one member to receive a piece of paper detailing their assigned duty for the inaugural session. This activity likely aimed to engage participants and encourage collaboration, while also ensuring that each group had a clear role in the event's opening proceedings.The event began with a warm welcome speech delivered by Shabhana, who set the tone for the proceedings. Following that, Rubymol, addressed the gathering, offering an insightful presidential address. The inauguration of the event was then carried out by Ahammed Nasim, marking the official start of the occasion. Shadiya took the opportunity to felicitate distinguished guests and participants, adding to the spirit of the gathering. Lastly, Muhammad Yoonus concluded the inaugural session by delivering the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all attendees and contributors for their support and involvement. 

Vidyarangam kalasahitya vedhi convener Vinod kumar and then addressed the gathering ,offering insightful remarks and sharing valuable information. Block Program Officer, Sri T.M. Thulaseedharan, graced the program and delivered an insightful address. His presence added significant value to the event, as he shared his expertise and vision for the program, motivating the attendees and providing guidance on key objectives and future initiatives. His words were impactful and served to encourage further involvement and commitment towards the program's goals.

The session was expertly conducted by Aswanth Sir, who began by guiding the class through an engaging and interactive activity. Each group was assigned a unique topic, including chess, river views, plant preservation, flowers, and more, with the task of creating short videos on their respective subjects. This hands-on approach not only encouraged creativitybut also allowed teachers and teacher trainees to delve deeper into their topics.After the video creation phase, Aswanth Sir introduced a variety of video editing techniques and demonstrated how to use specialized apps for editing. He ensured that all participantsunderstood how these techniques could be effectively applied within an educational context, providing examples of how video editing can enhance learning experiences and presentations.The session was thorough, with Aswanth Sir taking the time to answer questions, offer tips, and ensure that everyone was comfortable using the tools introduced. This comprehensive training equipped the teachers with valuable skills that they could utilize not just for academic purposes, but also in their future careers and creative endeavors. The entire class left feeling empowered, with a clear understanding of how to integrate modern video editing into various fields of education and beyond.
