CARE AND CONNECT


 The "Care and Connect" program was held on January 24, 2025, at 9:30 am in the Seminar Hall. The session featured Father Preyesh Kalarimuriyil, Director of Accompanying Differently-Abled & Awakening Mission, Archdiocese Thalassery, as the esteemed speaker. The program began with a welcome speech by Alfin Reji, General Secretary of the Union, followed by the Presidential Address by College Principal Indu K. Mathew. The session was anchored by Sharfa Usman and concluded with a vote of thanks by Akshay K, UUC.


The session focused on teaching sign language to communicate effectively with deaf individuals. Father Preyesh Kalarimuriyil conducted an interactive and informative training, covering alphabets, numbers, words, months, days, and names of prominent personalities in sign language. As teacher trainees, participants thoroughly enjoyed the session and gained valuable insights into the challenges faced by differently-abled individuals. The training empowered participants to become facilitators for deaf students, promoting equal opportunities and social integration.
