 Malabar Training College's Green Malabar Initiative: Fostering Sustainable Agriculture Practices Malabar Training College, Peravoor, affiliated to Kannur University and approved by NCTE, New Delhi, embarked on an innovative initiative to promote sustainable agriculture practices among its students. The Green Malabar Initiative, inaugurated by Principal Indu K Mathew, aimed to cultivate a culture of environmental responsibility and self-sufficiency. Six departments of the college were allocated separate areas for cultivation, and students from each department worked tirelessly to ensure the successful growth of various crops. The departments were encouraged to give unique names to their agricultural spaces, fostering a sense of ownership and pride. The names of the gardens reflected the creativity and individuality of each department: Natural Science - Naturals, Maths - Zeta, Physical Science - Wholsthorp Garden, English - Eves Valley, Social Science - Grevelia, and Malayalam - Ked...

Human Rights Day

  Human Rights Day was observed at Malabar Training College on December 10th to commemorate the adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights by the United Nations in 1948. The day aims to promote awareness and education on human rights and to inspire students and faculty to actively engage in protecting the fundamental rights and freedoms of all individuals. The event focused on empowering the college community to recognize, respect, and uphold human rights as essential values for global peace and justice. The celebration included lectures, discussions, cultural programs, and awareness campaigns that aimed to inform students about their rights and the importance of human dignity in a democratic society. The college also sought to emphasize the role of education in the protection and promotion of human rights.

BLOOD DONATION CAMB

A blood donation camp was successfully conducted at Malabar Training College on December 4, 2024, organized by the NSS unit and IQAC in association with BDK Kannur and Baby Memorial Hospital. The event included an awareness session by Dr. Roshin and saw participation from around 30 student donors. The program concluded with certificate distribution and a vote of thanks.  

MEDICAL CAMP

 MALABAR TRAINING COLLEGE in association with ASTER MIMS KANNUR HOSPITAL organized a successful medical camp to provide free health check-ups for both college members and the general public. The camp aimed to promote health awareness and ensure basic medical assistance for all attendees. The programme commenced with a beautiful prayer by Ann Sneha (student teacher). An introduction of the programme was given by Balasubramanyam (student teacher).Welcome speech was given by Preetha Kuriakose (Assistant Professor Malabar Training College),Presidential address was given by Indu K Mathew (Principal,Malabar Training College).The leader of the hospital team also communicated with us.Vote of thanks was given by Union chairman Vishnu. The general medicine team consisted of experienced doctor and medical students offering general health check-ups.
