MEDICAL CAMP
MALABAR TRAINING COLLEGE in association with ASTER MIMS KANNUR HOSPITAL organized a successful medical camp to provide free health check-ups for both college members and the general public. The camp aimed to promote health awareness and ensure basic medical assistance for all attendees. The programme commenced with a beautiful prayer by Ann Sneha (student teacher). An introduction of the programme was given by Balasubramanyam (student teacher).Welcome speech was given by Preetha Kuriakose (Assistant Professor Malabar Training College),Presidential address was given by Indu K Mathew (Principal,Malabar Training College).The leader of the hospital team also communicated with us.Vote of thanks was given by Union chairman Vishnu. The general medicine team consisted of experienced doctor and medical students offering general health check-ups. They measured vital signs such as blood pressure, blood sugar levels, and conducted general consultations. Common ailments like seasonal flu, low blood pressure, and diabetes were identified, and patients were provided with medical advice and referrals as necessary. A dedicated eye testing team was also there who conducted eye examinations of each patients. Services included vision tests, prescription on corrective lenses and advice on eye care.The camp witnessed overwhelming participation, with over 87 people availing the services. Both students and faculty praised the initiative, emphasizing its role in community welfare. The attendees appreciated the professionalism and dedication of the student organizers and medical teams.The medical camp was a big success. Such initiatives foster a sense of community and awareness about regular health check ups.
