WORLD AIDS DAY
AWARNESS PROGRAMME
Malabar Training College, Peravoor, observed AIDS Day on November 29, 2024. The program, conducted by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and Eco-Club, aimed to raise awareness about AIDS and promote education among students.
The program began with a prayer by Sharfa Usman, followed by a welcome address by Akshaya Kavalan. Principal Indu K. Mathew delivered the presidential address, emphasizing the importance of AIDS awareness and education.
The highlight of the program was an emotional and informative talk by Rama Kotyoor, an AIDS patient. The talk provided valuable insights into the lives of AIDS patients and the challenges they face. Rama kotyoor shared her personal experiences, struggles, and triumphs, leaving a lasting impact on the audience.
The talk was informative, covering various aspects of AIDS, including its causes, symptoms, transmission, and prevention methods. Rama kotyoor emphasized the importance of safe practices, regular testing, and seeking medical attention if symptoms persist.
The program helped to dispel common myths and misconceptions about AIDS, promoting a better understanding of the disease. The audience gained new information about AIDS, and the program helped to create empathy and reduce stigma against AIDS patients.
IQAC coordinator Ms.Preetha kuryakose presented a memento to Rama, acknowledging her courage and resilience. Jhanapriya proposed the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to Rama, the organizers, and the audience.
The AIDS Day Program at Malabar Training College, Peravoor, was a meaningful initiative that promoted AIDS awareness and education. The program highlighted the importance of empathy, understanding, and support for AIDS patients.
