Shakuntala Devi Birthday Celebration


 The Department of Mathematics of Malabar Training College, Peravoor, organized a program on4th November to commemorate the birth anniversary of the renowned mathematician and‘Human Computer,’ Shakuntala Devi. The event aimed to honor her immense contribution tomathematics and inspire students through her legacy.The highlight of the event was a QuizCompetition, held at 2:30 PM in the Seminar Hall. The competition encouraged participationfrom all departments, with each department required to send two participants.The quiz wasstructured in three levels, starting with easy questions and progressively increasing in difficulty. To make the event more engaging, certain questions were opened to the audience, with excitinggifts awarded to the winners. Teams of two students from various departments competed. Theenthusiastic involvement of students demonstrated the interdisciplinary appreciation of Shakuntala Devi’s work.The event was a great success, and the results of the extempore will beannounced at the upcoming assembly.
