Malabar Training College celebrated Vayalar Day on October 27th, 2024, to honor the life and legacy of Vayalar Ramavarma, a renowned poet and lyricist from Kerala. Vayalar Day is observed to remember his invaluable contributions to Malayalam literature, especially his work in the field of poetry and film lyrics. Vayalar Ramavarma’s work has had a profound impact on Kerala’s cultural landscape, and his songs and poems continue to inspire generations. The celebration at Malabar Training College was aimed at raising awareness about the rich cultural heritage of Kerala and paying tribute to the great poet’s works. The event included a variety of activities such as readings of his poems, cultural performances, discussions, and a special tribute program that highlighted his contributions to Malayalam literature and cinema.

The day was opened by Mr. Ajay Gopal, who moved the audience with his motivating speech and appreciation for the necessity of arts in education and self-expression.     After the inauguration ceremony, the presidential speech was given by our respected principal, Dr. Indu K. On August 6 and 9, 2019, Malabar B.Ed Training College observed Hiroshima and Nagasaki Day with a solemn and reflective event. The day was dedicated to remembering the victims of the atomic bombings and promoting peace and disarmament. The observance featured informative sessions, including presentations and discussions on the historical impact of the bombings and their significance in the quest for global peace. Students and faculty participated in a moment of silence to honor the lives lost and reaffirmed their commitment to advocating for a world free of nuclear weapons.
