Malabar Training College celebrated Vayalar Day on October 27th, 2024, to honor the life and legacy of Vayalar Ramavarma, a renowned poet and lyricist from Kerala. Vayalar Day is observed to remember his invaluable contributions to Malayalam literature, especially his work in the field of poetry and film lyrics. Vayalar Ramavarma’s work has had a profound impact on Kerala’s cultural landscape, and his songs and poems continue to inspire generations. The celebration at Malabar Training College was aimed at raising awareness about the rich cultural heritage of Kerala and paying tribute to the great poet’s works. The event included a variety of activities such as readings of his poems, cultural performances, discussions, and a special tribute program that highlighted his contributions to Malayalam literature and cinema.
College Arts Day Celebration
The celebration of Arts Day at Malabar Training College was done with immense excitement and creativity. The day was opened by Mr. Ajay Gopal, who moved the audience with his motivating speech and appreciation for the necessity of arts in education and self-expression. After the inauguration ceremony, the presidential speech was given by our respected principal, Dr. Indu K. Mathew. Abijith Devan,Akhila Antony, Mohanan took the felicitation and Adwaith delivered welcome speech. College Arts and Dance faculty Kavitha P M get ownered in the Inaugural Ceremony. Highlighting the importance of cultural activities in creating well-rounded personalities and promoting student unity, she spoke about them.
