CHRISMAS DAY CELEBRATION

On December 21, 2023, Malabar Training College celebrated Christmas Day with much enthusiasm and joy. The celebration aimed to bring the college community together in the spirit of Christmas, focusing on love, unity, peace, and goodwill. The event provided an opportunity for students and staff to engage in various fun-filled activities, reflect on the true essence of Christmas, and spread happiness through the festive season. The celebration highlighted the importance of sharing, kindness, and the values of love and compassion.  

NSS PRE-CAMP ORIENTATION

  On December 19, 2023, Malabar Training College organized a Pre-Camp Orientation for the National Service Scheme (NSS) volunteers as part of their preparation for the upcoming NSS camp. The session aimed to provide volunteers with the necessary knowledge, skills, and orientation required for active participation in the NSS camp. The orientation program focused on the objectives of NSS, the importance of community service, and the tasks and responsibilities volunteers will undertake during the camp. The event also emphasized the core values of volunteerism, social responsibility, and community development.

National Energy Conservation Day

  On December 14, 2023, Malabar Training College observed National Energy Conservation Day with a series of activities aimed at raising awareness about the importance of energy conservation and its role in sustainable development. National Energy Conservation Day is celebrated annually to highlight the significance of reducing energy consumption, adopting energy-efficient practices, and promoting environmental sustainability. The event at Malabar Training College provided an opportunity for students and faculty to reflect on energy use, learn about energy-saving techniques, and engage in discussions about how they can contribute to a greener future.

IKIGAI

  On November 30, 2023, Malabar Training College inaugurated the IKIGAI Union, a new student organization aimed at promoting personal growth, well-being, and holistic development among students. The name "IKIGAI," which comes from Japanese culture, represents a concept of finding one’s purpose in life, combining passion, mission, profession, and vocation. The inauguration ceremony marked the beginning of an exciting journey towards fostering a sense of community, encouraging personal exploration, and enhancing students' academic, emotional, and social skills.

Drug-Free Campus Awareness Campaign

  The "Drug-Free Campus Awareness Campaign" is an initiative organized by the Anti-Drug Cell to educate students about the harmful effects of drug and alcohol consumption. Through various events and activities, such as seminars, workshops, and poster campaigns, the campaign aims to raise awareness about the dangers associated with substance abuse. By engaging students in anti-drug activities and providing them with information and resources, the campaign strives to promote a healthy and drug-free campus environment.

AWARENESS CLASS OF HUMAN TRAFFICKING

  On September 26, 2023, Malabar Training College organized an Awareness Class on Human Trafficking to educate students about the dangers, signs, and legal frameworks surrounding human trafficking. The session aimed to empower students with knowledge on how to identify, prevent, and take action against trafficking in their communities. Human trafficking is a grave human rights violation, and the event sought to raise awareness about its impact on society while promoting responsible actions among the future educators.

Ozone Day Celebration

In celebration of Ozone Day, Malabar Training College organized a mango tree sapling distribution program. The event involved the distribution of mango saplings to students and staff as a gesture to promote environmental sustainability and awareness. This initiative aimed to encourage the planting of trees, enhance green spaces on campus, and contribute to the broader goal of environmental conservation.

Farmers Day Celebration

  Malabar Training College celebrated Farmers’ Day on August 17rd, 2023, to honor the invaluable contributions of farmers to the nation's prosperity and food security. Farmers' Day is observed annually to recognize the hardships faced by farmers and to acknowledge their essential role in sustaining the agricultural sector. The celebration aimed to raise awareness about the importance of farming, promote sustainable agricultural practices, and show appreciation for the hard work and dedication of the farming community.

Campus Cleaning on Environment Day

On March 13, 2023, Malabar Training College hosted a program on "Education Policy and Reforms," led by Ranjith Markose. This session provided an in-depth look at current educational policies and reform strategies. It aimed to equip educators and administrators with knowledge on policy development, implementation, and impact assessment through lectures and case studies. The program focused on enhancing participants' understanding of how to effectively navigate and influence   educational reforms.

On November 17, 2021, Malabar Training College hosted a seminar on "Teacher Leadership and Professional Development," conducted by Dr. Joselet Mathew. The seminar focused on empowering educators with leadership skills and strategies for ongoing professional growth. It covered effective leadership practices, career development, and methods for fostering a culture of continuous improvement in education. Through interactive discussions and practical insights, participants were equipped to enhance their leadership capabilities and contribute more effectively to their educational environments.

Malabar B.Ed Training College, in collaboration with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and the Social Science Club, celebrated Children's Day with a series of engaging and enjoyable activities. The event aimed to honor the spirit of childhood and emphasize the importance of education in nurturing young minds. The celebration featured a variety of programs, including interactive games, creative art and craft sessions, and storytelling. Students took part in performances and skits that highlighted themes related to childhood and education. The day also included informative sessions on child development and effective teaching strategies to foster a supportive learning environment.

Palliative Day

Kerala Piravi

Activities included traditional Kerala folk dances, music performances, and a display of regional crafts. The celebration was a vibrant tribute to Kerala's identity, fostering a sense of pride and community among attendees.

Independence Day Celebration

On August 15, 2020, Malabar B.Ed Training College celebrated Independence Day with a spirited and heartfelt event. Despite the challenges posed by the pandemic, the celebration was marked by a simple yet meaningful ceremony. The event began with the hoisting of the national flag, followed by a rendition of patriotic songs and a poignant speech reflecting on India's journey to freedom and the significance of the day. The celebration emphasized the values of unity and patriotism, with students and faculty participating in virtual activities and discussions, fostering a sense of national pride and solidarity.  

Hiroshima and Nagasaki Day

Hiroshima and Nagasaki Day is observed to mark the devastation of the atomic bombing during World War II. The horrors of ‘Little Boy’ on August 6th followed by ‘Fat Man’ on August 9th sparked global discussions on nuclear disarmament. This day marks the of the nuclear attack which led to Japan’s surrender during World War II.
