Independence Day Celebration

On August 15, 2020, Malabar B.Ed Training College celebrated Independence Day with a spirited and heartfelt event. Despite the challenges posed by the pandemic, the celebration was marked by a simple yet meaningful ceremony. The event began with the hoisting of the national flag, followed by a rendition of patriotic songs and a poignant speech reflecting on India's journey to freedom and the significance of the day. The celebration emphasized the values of unity and patriotism, with students and faculty participating in virtual activities and discussions, fostering a sense of national pride and solidarity.  

Hiroshima and Nagasaki Day

Hiroshima and Nagasaki Day is observed to mark the devastation of the atomic bombing during World War II. The horrors of ‘Little Boy’ on August 6th followed by ‘Fat Man’ on August 9th sparked global discussions on nuclear disarmament. This day marks the of the nuclear attack which led to Japan’s surrender during World War II.  

International Day of Yoga

The  International Day of Yoga  has been  celebrated across the world annually on June 21  since 2015, following its inception in the  United Nations General Assembly  in 2014.   Yoga  is a  physical ,  mental  and  spiritual practice  which originated in ancient  India .

International Day of Women and Girls in Science

The  International Day of Women and Girls in Science  is an annual observance adopted by the  United Nations General Assembly  to promote the full and equal access and  participation  of women in  Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM)  fields.  The United Nations General Assembly passed resolution 70/212 on 22 December 2015,  which proclaimed the  11th day of February  as the annual commemoration of the observance.  A theme is selected annually to highlight a particular focus and area of discussion around a focus point for  gender equality  in science.

Malabar B.Ed Training College marked Kerala Piravi with a festive and engaging event. The celebration honored the state's formation and showcased Kerala's rich cultural tapestry. The program featured traditional dance performances, folk music, and a variety of cultural exhibitions. Students actively participated in recitations and presentations that highlighted Kerala's history, language, and traditions. The event concluded with a shared sense of pride and appreciation for the state's vibrant heritage, bringing together students and staff in a joyful celebration of Kerala's identity.  

Hiroshima and Nagasaki Day observation

On August 6 and 9, 2019, Malabar B.Ed Training College observed Hiroshima and Nagasaki Day with a solemn and reflective event. The day was dedicated to remembering the victims of the atomic bombings and promoting peace and disarmament. The observance featured informative sessions, including presentations and discussions on the historical impact of the bombings and their significance in the quest for global peace. Students and faculty participated in a moment of silence to honor the lives lost and reaffirmed their commitment to advocating for a world free of nuclear weapons.  

Reading Day

On June 19, 2019, Malabar B.Ed Training College, organized by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell, celebrated Reading Day with a series of enriching activities. The event aimed to promote a culture of reading and highlight the importance of literature in education.  

Seminar on "Emerging Trends in Teacher Education

Malabar Training College hosted a seminar on "Emerging Trends in Teacher Education," led by Dr. Prasanth Mathew. The seminar explored contemporary developments and innovations in teacher education, focusing on new methodologies, technologies, and best practices. Dr. Mathew provided insights into how these trends are shaping the future of teaching and preparing educators for modern challenges. Participants gained valuable knowledge on adapting to and implementing these trends in their own educational settings.  

Kerala Piravi Celebration

On November 1, 2018, Malabar B.Ed Training College celebrated Kerala Piravi with vibrant enthusiasm. The event marked the formation of the state of Kerala and highlighted its rich cultural heritage. The celebration featured traditional Kerala music and dance performances, along with displays of regional art and crafts. Students and faculty engaged in activities that showcased the state's diverse traditions, and a special program included speeches and presentations on Kerala's history and achievements. The celebration fostered a sense of pride and unity, honoring the state's cultural legacy .
